Derrick Li is a Managing Director in Baird's Global Healthcare Investment Banking group, focusing on the BioPharma space. Derrick joined Baird in 2020 from Cellular Biomedicine Group, a NASDAQ-listed, U.S.-domiciled biotechnology company based in China that focuses on cell and gene therapies, where he served as Head of Strategy and Investor Relations. Prior to Cellular Biomedicine, he was a Managing Director and led the Healthcare Advisory practice at B. Riley FBR. He also spent four years as a Partner and Director at Pharma Partners USA LLC (TPP Healthcare), a boutique advisory firm that specializes in cross-border deal flow between innovative companies from the United States and China's premier healthcare institutions. Derrick began his career as an Equity Research Analyst at The Royce Funds, a subsidiary of Legg Mason. He holds dual bachelor's degrees in accounting and business administration from Villanova Institution.
